Selection of fine art prints and framed art by Gustav Klimt.Gustav Klimt - Austrian painter (14 July 1862 – 6 February 1918). Artistic movements: Art Nouveau, Symbolism, Vienna Secession. Klimt's paintings and prints are almost immediately recognisable due to their individual style, honest eroticism, lavish use of colour and distinctive patterns. The most famous Klimt artworks are The Kiss, 1908-09 (available in our collection as a giclee art print) and Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, 1907. Except for portraits and symbolic nude paintings, Gustav Klimt produced many landscapes that would make perfect posters and wall art suitable for every interior.
Gustav Klimt was the most prominent artist of Vienna Secession. The movement was formed in 1897 in the Austrian capital by a group of radical young painters who wanted to break away from the boring rules of academic painting. The author of The Kiss led the movement, now regarded as a part of broader Art Nouveau style and the source of modern design.
